My wife and I just got back from a 50 miles 'maiden voyage' with the tandem seat mounted on the 46 EL I'm taking to Milwaukee on Friday. Its' gonna take some getting used to - maybe after the weekend I will have figured ways to make it better.

Here is the new set-up. The tandem is a repop that Janus the speedo guy sold me. One thing I can do is lower the whole seat. My wife is very petite and hardly sets the springs. I could get shorter spring and modify the front bracket. The new seat is real slippery too. Should glue sand paper to it.

| What keeps the seat from moving all around Jerry ? I don't see a pivoting T-bar section in the front of it. Pa |

Pa It is actually there. It pivots in the top one of those 3 bolts and them goes straight up. It is in the shadow of the loop that the rider uses for a handle. Seat is actuallt very solid and stable.

My wife rode on the tandem the whole 750 miles and said that as a rule she was very comfortable. Some of the back roads we were on got a little rough but it handled good and rode smoother than the old buddy seat we used to use. Gotta admit that I was a bit apprehensive going into it however.
I did figure out a couple of minor things I am going to change.

This tandem seat worked out so well that I ordered and just received another one. This one is brown leather and black frame. No pictures yet.
